Default HELP, car not running on all cylinders!

Car was driving perfectly all day today. Then I went to a friends house, came out a few hrs later start it up and start driving and notice it is sounding like my old supra. Then when i get onto a main road and try to give it gas it bucks but goes and even when i am cruising i feel the car bucking, as if i am varying the pressure of the gas pedal the whole time I am driving.

I just got my car back from a clutch install yesterday and due to my slipping clutch I havent really gotten on the car at all over the last couple months and today the car maybe saw 6k in 2nd once, but pretty easy driving.

the strange thing is the car is not pulling any codes

did a test by unplugging each coil individually, the only one that didnt do anything was the back cylinder on the driver side, replaced the spark plugs on that side and nothing, switched the coil with another one from the same side, it seems like the problem is a little bit better but still really bad
(that may also be my imagination that it got any better).

the car is a heads and cam 01 z06, dont know the specs on what valve springs were used since the previous owner did that.

Any ideas on what it may be before I take it to a mechanice and get overcharged??

How do you know it is not firing all cylinders? If a particular cylinder is missing, it may be a broken valve spring. At least that is what i would check first.

Pull the valve covers and look at your springs first.

A spring is a spring is a spring ... all are subject to breaking ...

Definitely sounds like a spring problem if removing the plug wire didn't make any difference. Also could be the plug wire, but that's less likely than a spring being broken or a pushrod being bent.

Spring!!!!
Check em even if they look ok... try pushing the retainer by hand. Just went through hell with this issue, had three intake springs go totally 'soft' on me...
Good luck!

I don't think it's a spring. It if was, he'd definitely be getting a random misfire code. Sounds more like a vacuum leak, or maybe a broken spark plug wire.

could be a spring and not get a code. if it was ignition, the ses would be flashing.
could also be an injector
