More 346" ET 240cc 11 degree progress - 10.7 @ 131 N/A 2500'
Today we went to do alittle test and tune in the heat. Our only swap this time was the American Racing Long tubes. The new long tubes are much closer to equal length which yeilds more consistent A/F from cylinder to cylinder. One thing to note is we're not launching the car yet so the 60's are slow but consistent.
Test:
Old Long tubes -> American Racing Long tubes
Inital:
1850' DA
10.9 @ 129
Shift 7400
A/F avg: 12.5
Timing: 24 deg
After Header Swap ONLY
2500' DA
10.7 @ 131(calculated 2.2MPH gain in worse weather)
Shift 7400
A/F avg: 12.5
Timing 24 degrees
The run was pretty smooth, we left very easy the car 60' was 1.69 and terminated the run with a very pleasing 10.7 @ 131 in the middle of the heat today.

Congrats Phil! Those are just awesome ET's and MPH for a 346. I know some 408's and bigger not doing that MPH. I wonder if those ET heads would help me out .

They definitely work on my car. I think our final goal this season for the motor is going to be 138mph and a 1.40 60'. Where ever that puts ET will make us smile.
We'd love to see:
10.7 @ 131
NHRA corrects to sea level:
10.37 @ 135 with same 60'
Cut another .2 off the 60' which should be easy since we're showing .29
10.17 @ 135
Figure -1550' DA more timing, less fuel and a stellar run
9.9 @ 138

Nice, hope you make your goals. Would love to see another 346 hit the 9's.
I just used the NHRA altitude calc myself. I would of run a 10.73 @ 128 last time out, lol. I'd be pretty happy with that and I haven't even used my T-brake yet.
Anyway, congrats again!
