Default Anybody running Thunder Racing GTP stage 2 heads??

Just wondering if anyone had any good/bad feedback on these heads. I did a few searches, didn't come up with much. I picked up a set for a pretty good deal and will be running them on my 2000 Trans Am along with an LS6 intake, ported TB, Race style coated Pacesetters w/catted Y/ Loudmouth, and the TSP torquer 2 cam package (all getting put on at the same time). I know the basic specs from what I found on Thunder Racings website. Unfortunately, being in Iraq right now, I cant really call them myself to get anymore details. Just looking for some real world feedback and any ideas on how well I can expect them to work with the other mods listed. Any links or info will be much appreciated. Thanks.

I have GTPs stage 2 heads, but not from Thunder Racing. I've got 241 castings ported by Craig himself from years ago. However I've heard rumors lately that he doesn't port all the heads that come out of his shop, and the numbers have suffered recently.

Stock shortblock, GTP stage 2 milled .007", GTP grind cam .540" 222dur single pattern 114LSA, all the usual bolt-ons (Hooker LTs, ORY, Corsa, LS6 intake w/ported TB, pulley, lid, SSRA). Built 4l60e with 3600 stall, 3.73s and full Spohn/QA1 suspension. Car went 11.90@119 1.98 60' on 18" street tires in good air at 3650 raceweight. Easy mid 11s on sticky tires. Look at the cam size! That speaks a ton about the heads.

The heads were bought before AFR, TFS, Dart were in the market. Even before most of the other big name stock casting porters were around. When ported by Craig, they hold up to anything out today. I've seen a lot of other heads with good combos that just didn't perform. GTPs always seem to do well.

Sounding like good times/numbers so far guys, keep em coming. I just hoped I picked the right cam for the job. Its going to be driven everyday, mostly to and from work with the occasional trip back home to houston. A few track passes here and there but mostly just a REALLY fun daily driver. Oh, its an M6 btw...
