MS3 or MS4 or something else?

Greetings,

I have an 04 gto(M6, 3.91, headers, exhaust) and I am looking into the MS3 or MS4 but I wanted to see if anyone had any tuning or issues with driving it on the street after the swap? Anyone in austin,tx or close by with one in a car I could hear/ride in?

With the gear setup and being a 6 speed I dont think you'll have a problem driving the cam if you dont mind the lope. The MS4 seems to be a little more driveable than the MS3 in the way of part throttle accelleration, but it will lope pretty hard. Personally I love the sound of the cam so if the aggressive idle doesnt bother you then I would say go for it. Let me know if you need any more info or need any help in maybe choosing a different cam if you think this one is not right for you.

At the track the other night I met a guy with a MS3 ls1 in a 3200 pound 69 camaro running 11.9 and getting 28mpg on the highway. nuff said.

I love my MS4, after a tune, it does drive really well. Small amout of surge at the 1300-1500 rpm range!! It sounds nasty. Im working on a video but have camera problems.
