Default Problms with new H/C Set up

Just finished up installing a new set of PRC LS6 ST2.5 heads with PRC dual springs and Trex cam. Put the car on the dyno and HP curves falls off right around 6400 (drops about 30 hp). Pulled the valve covers off and checked pre-load and looked at the valves and eveythings seem to look ok. Valve train sounds good so I am thinking it could be valve float??

I would be checking your ignition and timing. Detonation might be causing the problem if you just went straight from bolting on the heads and cam to the dyno and didn't let your pcm become suited to the changes.

Just because it was tuned doesn't mean the pcm isn't pulling timing at the upper RPMS. With a sudden drop like you are describing, I feel that timing is being pulled because of something.
