Default after cam install exhaust pops at startup

when I first start it the exhaust will pop or a very small backfire twice right after you start it. Then it is fine. Why would it make a couple pops right after I start it? I love the cam though. I need to get it tuned because it doesn't idle very well sometimes.

I think you answered your own question. Timing, fueling and airflow are likely to be out at idle contributing to your issue.

As ringram said, you need a tune.

Which cam did you end up installing?

Cheers,

Macca

Ah, very nice, in fact, my second choice. I was a little too scared to go for this one as the car is a genuine daily driver and the missus sometimes (not often mind you) has to drive it.

Good choice.

Cheers

well I have it going good except for the pop when it first starts but I hope a tune will help that. It does run a hell of a lot better. Here is a video of ithttp://video.ls1tech.com/video/49ba1...5a01735d55.htm

Mate that sounds the goods - bloody sensational. I noticed that it revs very quick and clean. Great job, I'll bet you're very happy!
