Default Mixing pistons

I have 4 pistons with teflon coating on the skirt and 4 without it. Is there any reason as to why I couldn't use those 8 pistons in one engine, or is there a fear of the 4 coated pistons weighing more than the ones without the coating? Will I need to have it all balanced?

I personally wouldnt, weight, manufacturing tolerances, different design could all be problems with that, I wouldnt.

You could do it and it could be fine, but then again it could be a vibrating mess self destructing along the way.

AS long as piston weight is matched and clearance is right it will be no problem have done it many times no problems. Some of you guy are way to superstitious

If they are stock GM pistons, no you dont have to get them balanced. Yes you can use them together.

Yes id recommend you get it all balanced.

I took all the pistons to a machine shop and had them weighed and check to see if they were identical. They weighed within 4 grams of eachother and they are identical, and in perfect condition. After weighing them he suggested me not to balance them. He said he would for 100 bux, but he didn't see the need.

Yes they are all factory GM pistons.
