how much hiway MPG loss with big cams?

i asked this in the gto section because people were postin up mileages and stock people were gettin 22-24 on the highway and people with heads/cam were gettin 26-28.... i was astonished but everyone swears by it!

I would believe it. I was getting 28 stock and 28 with a cam. Then I added heads and went to 31. This was cruising at 75 mph with the cruise on.

Last I checked, I was getting 16 MPG with a combination of highway and city driving in my M6. I have a 12-bolt with 3.90s in addition to the cam, though.
