well after months of reading about cams
i decided im going with
227/231 lsk lobes on a 110 +1,2,3 depending on the heads
the killer thing is im shifting it at 6500 with a 6600 rev limiter.
that cam sould have the most power for the shift point im using.
im shifting at 6500 because of the 98's rod bolts, and oiling system in the block, and due to 95,000 mi.

i was thinking about tsp 5.3 stage 2.5 heads. i read that the smaller heads would be better but i have no idea.

so how much advance should i have ground in and what heads optimize that cam and my 6500 shift points

yeah, more advance lowers the power band. Good to go with the small chamber heads for more compression and small runners both of which are better for lower end torque.

but i dont want so much low end i dont have a very strong top end.
i would just like the most hp i can get with that 6500 shift point

limiting yourself to 6500 i dont think youll be running out of steam... were not talking about the stock cam here.

so the 227/231 on lsk lobes on what lsa/icl with the prc 5.3l stage 2.5 heads now should i get the bigger intake valve or the smaller one
