Removing the oil pump and installing it is a pain in the butt. Just be careful. Also, dont break your a/c line when you hol dup your compressor like i did.

i swear why didnt they just go ahead and fill the fbody engine compartment with thorns, snakes, and boiling pits of lava.
it might be the engine built by God, but the devil musta designed the rest of the car.

I cut mine off after the first time I changed the plugs. The cam install is not really that bad. Just take your time. If you need any help just let us know.

Becarfule with the bolt on the pickup tube, it would be easy to drop it in the oil pan.

you dont have to cut off the plastic spikes. Just push up on them from the bottom and they will push out of the cowl. Then you can re use them when you're done.

You can use a digital camera to take a few pictures of the engine as you disassemble it to help get all the hoses and wiring harness back just right.

Yep take pictures and bag all your bolts and label them. Its not that bad of a job. Take your time and take breaks as needed

+2. My first time, my hands were all cut up. The next time I took it off.

Be very careful with the oil pupm bolt holding the pick up tube on. Use a ratchet wrench. it helps.
And most importantly take your time. Think everything through.

Like I did'nt know you had to shim springs to a certain hight. I just slapped'm on there and luckily they were crane duals. And there was no problem. I would rev thet thing to the moon!

You need a 24mm 6 point deep socket for the crank bolt, I'd recommend getting an impact socket instead of a regular one. You really have to crank on that thing to get the pulley seated. Also, a 10mm gear wrench w/ a flexible head can be a big help, but not needed. Good luck.

Do not do as advised on the install of the dampner! I followed the instructions used a longer bolt and the stock one broke on removal. Either buy a dampner install tool or heat it up.
