Default Trex cam = 377hp

Dynoed a car today that had a 364ci 6.0L stock bottom end with a Trex cam and Patriot LS6 style stage 2 heads and a LS6 intake. It only made 377hp and 359ftlb with 28* total timing.

Is this the lowest Hp from a TRex ever?

Wow thats crazy. The 224 and ls6 heads make more than that. Something is definately wrong with that car.

something is wrong with your car or the place that did your dyno. with my set up I am pushing 470rwhp. when I was using a 224/224 575/575 114 cam I dyno'd at 382rwhp. no way in hell are you at only 377

could it be that that dyno is very stingy? couldnt tell from the orig. post if your then dyno operater, hence lots of exp. with that dyno, or a friend of someone with that setup? what about the a.f.ratio? bad air filter? clogged cats? improper preload on lifters and valves not opening all the way? throttle blade not opening all teh way? more details. doesnt quite seem right.

the converter could be unlocked on mustang dyno and it be 120* celcius outside & that combo shouldnt dyno that low.

Lots of info missing.

No mention of headers...? Air/fuel ratio? Transmission? Dyno type? Cam degreed/installed wrong?

It's my car, and was on a very good tuners dyno. We dynoed a Dart 225, F13 package right ahead of mine and it made 404. And that's through full catted exhaust.

My car has a ORY so plugged cats isn't the problem, the filter is clean, valves are good, and we checked the throttle blade. The AFR was in the 13's and the timing was at 28*. No knock retard eighter.

It made really nice and smooth dyno graphs and the car seemed to be pulling harder that it really was.

With the same heads a 232/236 .549/549 110 cam and the stock ls1 it made 400/410 with the stock LS1 intake also.

The trans. isn't the problem, I've had it on dyno's with the th350 before and it did fine. And most of the time the diff. in a locked converter and an unlocked converter is normally around 10-20 hp so that would still only put it at 397 which would still be way off imo.

Probably will just to see, but I really don't think it's going to be anything like it was with the stock engine. Torque was only around 360.

Mabye that combination sucks.(emphasis on the heads) We dynoed a friends car at Mike Norris' dyno earlier this week with that exact same setup (346 CI 6 speed with 4.10 rear 10 bolt) and got 390 RW through the exhaust, and 407 with open headers. Tuned!

I am going to switch on a set of stock LS6 heads and see what the difference is. I bet it picks up.
