Default 01 Z06 cam ?

Well I have to replace my timing chain since its making noises and thiught I might as well throw in my cam that I have had for a while. My question is can I use the dtock 7.4 length pushrods (motor is stock) or do I have to run shorter pushrods I know you have to with the 02+ cams.I'll also be installing the yellow springs also to match the 01 LS6 cam.

Ideally you should use some 7.425" pushrods, but the stock ones will work fine.

Yes I know these cams are different ,what I meant was they both have the same base circle while the 02+ has a smaller base circle which would require longer pushrods with stock length valves and stock head .

Correct my timing chain is making noises I think so I might as well put in the cam while I'm there since it was next to free for me. hopefully I'll pick up a few extra HP .
