Default need a little help

i have just bought a Comp Cams 224/228 .534/.537 112lsa: i have an ls6 intake, pacesetter headers, offroad y and slp lm1 catback... what other mods do need to run this cam. i know i need rod's and springs but not sure what to get... any help with this will help. also will i have to get a tune or do you think that i can get away with the stock tune for a while.... thanks again

i suggest getting some 918's with ti retainers, hardened pushrods, ported ls6 oil pump if you have a 98-00 ls1, and ls2 timing chain. you could get by on the stock tune for a little while just don't floor it all the time.

correct me if i am wrong.....but couldnt he just use 02+ z06 springs??

he probably could but i don't know which year had the highest rated springs in the ls6's.

im pretty sure 02+ were rated at .550 lift

i've read that one of the years were rated to .570 or .580. i think they're the solid yellow ones. not 100% sure though.

for what little extra it would cost just get some patriot gold springs and then your covered if you ever want to go bigger than that. BUY ONCE BUY RIGHT!!!

tsp has good package deals for cams, check their site. 1000 is pushing it though especially if youre gonna need a tune too.

Well since you already purchased the cam and still have 1k to play w/ you should have plenty to buy the springs and get a good dyno tune!
