Question cam experts, is this ok to install?

the pics show some small stress cracks on the lobe surface. would it cause any problems down the road?

If it has crack like that now, just imagine how beat up the lobes will be after it up and running. I would think that would make the lifter skip around and cause more damage. Don't run it FWIW.

almost looks like a flat cam. other words dont use it. cam lope as failed, why? what caused it? springs, non adj rockers (wrong size). or adj rockers adjusted wrong. or maybe cam is defected. how many miles on valve train and cam. whatever caused it good find, "dont use it"!

Do not use it. I believe Comp cams had some problems with some of the cams they ground and they started to flake off metal from the lobes. That could be one of them. I have seen 2 recently. Cams that were put in this summer. They started finding flakes in the oil.

$400.00 for a new cam OR $5000.00 for a new motor. Do the math
