Default LS2 heads?

Will LS2 heads fit on an LS1? Is this a good head to run on an LS1 with a Crane 224 cam?

Default LS2 Heads = 243

LS2 heads are the 243 castings used on the 01'-04' Z06. They have the yellow springs, but not the sodium filled exhaust valves. And yes they will bolt up to your LS1.

For About 1K, you can get a nice set of LS6(Original 243 Castings) heads. Check out the sponsors...

The 01 LS6 (385 HP) only has 525 lift - same cam as the LS2 motor and the springs were good for 540 max lift. The 02-04 LS6 (405 HP) has 550 lift and the springs are good for 570 max. lift. Make sure that the heads have the yellow striped springs.

Thanks for the info. How do the LS2 heads compare to other heads in performance? (ie AFR or LS6)

Better to spend your money on some CNC ported 243 castings from PRC or Patriot.

What do the hollow intake valves and sodium filled exhaust valves of the LS6 do for you that the sold valves don't?
