tsp stg1 ls6 vs stg 2.5 ls6?
im running a torquer 2 on a 112 and want to run a .040 gasket. ill also be running a ported fast 90 on top. for this reason id like to go bigger valves but is it going to gain me anything and am i going to run into clearance problems with the larger valves? i rev my car to about 6800 so in my uneducated mind it only seems logical the more air the better at that rpm. discuss

We can setup the stage 2.5 cylinder heads to work with the .040" gaskets no problem. The cool thing about the stage 2.5 heads is you'll get a stainless valve that's larger than the stg1 heads valves. The last set of 2.5s that finished up today went 316cfm@.600! Not bad for a little 2.02" valve setup with the valve job setup to only lose .010" clearance!

i was actually looking at those heads myself..i noticed that if you get the stage 1's with the competition valve job and dual springs then they are only a lil bit less then the stage 2.5's..so if it was me i would just spend the extra $150 or so and get the stage 2.5's

ya for the little bit of money diff it only makes sense to use the larger heads if they will benifit me. i know bigger isnt always better but my cam is on the verge of being a bigger cam and with the ported 90 im sure it couldnt hurt. id like to get my torque over 400 ft lbs though so im not sure if id better milling the stage 1's and getting a little more compression instead.
btw it would be awesome if it would hit 450rwhp also
