Default Everything is hooked up, but no radio, and engine won't turn over. PLZ HELP!

Just put my engine back in, I have everything hooked up, but my radio does not work, and when I turn the key, the interior bell dings while I have the key turned. Any ideas on where to look?

I was helping him last night, you think it could be the main ground that goes from the battery to the block?? The ground to the head is on and correct for sure, seems like maybe the main ground is not right???

Sounds like a possible ground issue. There is more than one ground off the engine harness. One on passenger side one on drivers side to frame rail.

I think I know what it is now....

I have the 10 gauge black cable bolted to the starter, not the block. That's gotta be it.

I'll check, battery is fully charge right? A weak battery will give you all kinds of issues.

Which would explain why everything worked (radio, windows, etc) until I turned the key. This also explains why the alarm still works too.

She's running. Since I didn't have it grounded properly, it blew the 50A ignition maxi fuse. Thanks for the help guys! I have another small problem with it not wanting to let coolant into the engine. Air pocket maybe?

from my experience (this is an ls1 in a 3rd gen), filling it like a gen1 sbc doesnt work. Fill the rad, then fill the motor, via hose connected to the water pump.

Someday, when you realize the LS1 doesn't use reverse flow cooling, you'll feel bad for having posted this...
