Couple a questions about my AFR heads?
(1) What size brass plug fits into the water temp sender hole?
(2) I got a new set of GM head bolts but the AFR head instructions have a lot of instruction and recomend ARP head bolts (as well as washers) what do you all think?
TIA!

2. ARP head studs are your best bet. You clean the bolt holes only once, install em and never have to buy new bolts or clean the holes out again.

I just put my AFR heads on about an hour ago and I re used my ARP bolts. I did not buy studs as they cost a bit more. But if I had to buy them again, I would use studs. Studs have better clamping force than bolts.

another plus about the arp head studs/bolts is you torque them to ftlbs instead of the degree method which sucks if the motor is in the car.but as said they are reuseable and are much stronger so it is a good investment.
