I think the maximum amount of lift would be racegas and around .700"ish. Compression will be approaching 12/1. Call your head porter. Were those chambers welded and then CNC's or were they simply milled for more compression?

Isn't that a dish-piston motor anyway?

If the pistons are dished (in the middle where the valves would hit), then you could consider it like a big ole single valve relief for more PTV clearance. The problem folks have with PTV clearance with the LS1 is just from the fact that LS1s unlike the production SBC have a purely flat top piston- usually. If there's a dish on your motor, then it's going to have more clearance.

Also, there's TWO ways to have a 59cc head. It can be a welded and then CNC ported chamber -OR- it can be decked to get to 59cc.

I would'nt mill the LS6 heads to get 59cc cause then ptv will need to be checked if going with .638/.639 lift. however I got PP heads which are same as stock hight. so thats why I was able to run .589/.595 lift on my LS1 w/ 59cc chambers. not sure if it would be ok if I was to install cam advance or retard since I went straight up. I did check for ptv clearance by install heads with no gasket and rotated crank. removed heads and checked for any sign od valve hitting pistons, looked good so I moved forward with installation. 10+k miles on it and still pulling strong. forgot to mention, with this setup I getting about 11.3 to 1 comp.
