question about gm performance LS6 CNC ported heads
how do they compare with other heads like the afr or trick flow? motor is 2002 LS1, long tubes, and a 6-spd. cam will probably be the tsp torq 2 or the new slp high torque cam. power estimates?

I assume you are talking about the GMPP cnc ls6 heads. They have a 250cc intake runner, and a bigger exhaust port. They are really too big for a stock cube ls1. They also did not do anything to the combustion chamber b/c of racing series rules ( I think it was the motorola cup at the time).
If you were gonna drop that kinda coin I would suggest a company that makes a new casting of the heads (like edelbrock, AFR, ETP) because they have many improvments over the stock castings, especially in the combustion chamber.

Everything was touched on my head. Chambers, intake, and exhaust. All CNC'd. Mine came right out of the box that way.
They seem to work fine with my car. Made 400rwhp with the baby GT2-3 cam and 427rwhp with the 228/232 cam. I have a cat back and rockers now, so it should be a little higher
