the ls6 cam is pretty small, and makes power pretty peaky.
there are much better cam choices.
if you want mild, go for the TR 224 cam and the worked ls6 heads you mention. should be near 400rwhp with supporting mods and a tune.
otherwise, you're probably looking at 375rwhp with the ls6 setup...depending on how "worked" the heads are. but with the 117* lobe of the cam, it will make most of it's power up top.

Ya dont go with the actual LS6 cam, as said before maybe something like a 224/224 588/588 that cam is prob the most used cam on this site lol bc it has proven its worth at the track and street . Then with some ported LS6 heads, your looking at a very nice setup that will definitely see 11's with a driver mod.

I dyno'd 373 hp at the wheels with a crate LS6 and the mods in my sig. I'd have to agree that the power is all upstairs. I'm running 12.1's and can't get out of the mid 1.7 60's. Hell, I swaped from 2.73's to 3.73's and my 60's didn't change! I guess it just doesn't have the low end to get moving.

i have cast # 243 ls6 heads (stage 1) that i'm happy with (budget $900). the ls6 cam sounds completely stock , i'm dissapointed with that. it runs great but lower dyno #s than i expected. my A4 idles at 600 rpm, smooth as a babys butt. i like conservative but no lope sound is kind of weak. ls6 cam has 550 lift 204 / 218 duration, 117.5 LSA (which causes no lope i'm told) good luck.

There are a lot of choices for stealth cams, Thunder Racing offers the CheaTR cam, the Old Man Cam, and the TR 220. You could also have a cam custom spec'd and ground for you, run a search for custom cam and you'll find Predator Z and Patrick G along with a few others ready to help.

Sorry DANO, I haven't been on to reply to you. I did drop my ET's going to 3.73's, but believe it or not my 60's didn't change. I'm running a tight 3000 stall and I guess combined with the engines power curve nothing I've done has any affect on my 60' times. I suppose if I were to go with some more stall that would help, but this is my daily driver and my only mode of transportation. Besides, with gas hovering around $3.55 a gallon for premium I can live with what I've got!

whew! (FAST01) everyone has been telling me to get gears. with an A4 at 70mph what rpm are you cruising at (also stock size tires?) again if i add gears will i gain 2 tenths? (thats what a mag article says) i would like to agree with a previous post that real world gain would be about 20 rwhp from ls6 cam & 20 rwhp heads. i guess we have to pay to play.
