Default Valve Spring Replacement question

i'm buying a new set of Patriot Gold springs today, and i was wonder if i'd need to replace the seats.

i wanted to replace the valve seals only, but i currently have 12k miles with this setup (PRC Dual Spring kit), and i thought of changing the valve springs as well, since i'm going to have to do this again in the next 8k miles if i don't do it now. so with that said, i'll be replacing the locks, retainers, springs and seals. do i need to replace the seats as well since i'll be using Patriot duals instead of PRC duals ?

The kit comes with seats. But instead why don't you just measure if your springs are up to spec, you might not need to change anything.

I put 43,000 miles on a set of PRC duals with a much larger can than you are running and they were still good when they were replaced. Call Texas Speed and ask those guys what kind of spring life they have been getting...you will be pleasantly surprised sir.

You need a spring pressure tester

i ordered the valve seals from Patriot, i decided not to buy the springs, so i'll just be replacing the seals, i took a couple of pics on them

the invoice is showing part# 8414, 16 of them, VL Seal (8MM fits, .500 guide) GM LS1/LS6, does it look like the right ones from those of you who bought the valve stem seals from Patriot ?

Yes, go have them checked or buy the tester. I had near 30K on a set of duals that were still within spec. You might have a lot of life left. Although Im amazed how cheap replacement spring coils are.
