Default How long can i drive without a Tune?!

after my trex cam is installed. no racing of course. but wat should i bring the rpms to and how long can i drive it like this.

with the trex i doubt you will be able to dirve that much at all. people have said they couldnt always do it with the ms4 and the trex is a different ballgame. i say get a tune asap

Its actually your personal preference. If the cars not running lean or extremely rich and you can stand driving it. Drive the wheels off of it.

Not getting a tune for a while? IMO Get a wideband ASAP then so you can monitor. Without it you won't know where the A/F is and whether or not it will be detrimental to drive it. I have a way smaller cam than that, but just putted around town before getting a tune, it's a good thing. The car was at nearly 15:1 when my tuner finally started tweaking it.

not to jack your thread but im curious to im gettin ready to install a 234 240 on a 112 with a .621 .641 will i be ok to just drive it to the tuners place about 30 miles away

Yeah, driving to the tuner shouldn't be a problem. You might have issues with stalling though. Do NOT go WOT before having the car's A/F checked.

I've been there. Unless you like driving a surging, dying everytime it searches for an idle, unruly beast, get it tuned. I'm the type of guy that will drive anything, my Harley is my daily rider even in the winter..and the trex untuned is not much fun.
