Its not really a bore, its a clean up hone. Your going from 3.893 (factory pistons) to 3.903, 3.905, 3.908, or 3.910 (most aftermarket pistons) Its needed on a used block.

aren't you local to any engine builders ? as mentioned it's only a hone job,any engine machine shop should be able to take care of you.shipping 2 ways would be very rough on the wallet.

Maybe the added piece of mind knowing that a shop which KNOWS the ls-based motor is more important to him.

I can take care of it for ya, just PM me and we will work up a shipped back price. I need your pistons along with the block to size the cylinders.

Why stop there? Might as well go for it and do the 348.

Just kidding, I know why you are doing it but it still makes you do a double-take when you read the topic.

Bo White

The problem is that i live outside the country and our machine shops here are terrible from what i understand. I'm buying an LS1 block and want to get the seller to send it to you, bore it out to a 347 and then get you to send it on to me. How much would you charge? Ofcourse shipping will all be paid by me as well. Thanks.

I interested also. I would like to go with a forged buttom end that not so tight on the wallet. I've asked one of the area's best shops and told me that no one in the area is worth a lick. Sorry if I hi-jacked your thread.
