Default Trick Flow heads what pushrods and what roller rockers?

I got my hand ported LS1 trick flow heads from Chris Frank@RayMac racing engines. i think Chris did a great job porting the heads. now i find with the papers that came with the heads that i need roller rockers to run them with the TFS heads?

what roller rockers that i have to go with? how about the harland shaft rockers are they OK?

also since the TFS heads are 13.5* degree heads i needed different pushrods so i got with the heads 7.700" push rods, are the 7.700" pushrods correct for TFS heads for correct valvetrain goemetry?

i just want to make sure that i got the correct pushrods.

thanks for help.

The common rockers used with the TFS heads are either yella terra rockers,or harland sharp 1.7 rockers, either will work fine. When i got my TFS heads from.... ..www.totalengineairflow.com... they sent 7.500 pushrods ...Did you have the heads milled at all?...good luck with the TFS heads, you got the best money can buy

You might have the correct pushrods. If they came with the heads, chances are they are the right ones.

7.5" is what I ended up with on my heads milled to 61cc. I had they Yella Terra (old design) and ended up having to switch to Harlands due to geometry issues with my setup. They Yella Terra's can be made to work I'm sure, but they will require shimming and different pushrods to setup properly. Also, unless I'm mistaken, 61cc chambers will yield a static compression ratio of 11.1:1 on a stock LS1 piston. 64cc is the stock LS6 chamber size and yields 10.5:1 compression ratio. Milling the heads to 61cc also puts the piston to valve clearance on the heads back to where it was stock (the 64cc heads have more clearance due to the revised valve angle).

the LS1 TFS heads i got have 64.4 cc chambers so i think the heads are not milled, so maybe the 7.700" pushrods are correct.

btw, my LS1 TFS heads have 218cc intake runner after porting and flow 325cfm i can't remeber on the exhaust side but i think they flow like 230cfm.

On the end of the heads are a serial # that starts with A,B or C followed by 4 numerals. The A and B head use 7.700" and the C use 7.500"

What change was made to the heads to need a new pushrod length?

TFS changed the geometry to be more like stock GM, rather than optimized for the roller rocker.
