I had the same problem & mine spit out honeycomb pcs of the cat out the exhaust due to the 1 cat. conv. being bad. Might be the problem or another issue I had happen is I broke a pushrod due to the RPM's gettin' above 6250 (the # where LS1's bend pushrods says Comp Cams). Basically, I dumped the clutch in 1st, fish-tailed up to around 6300rpm & after I let off, the car struggled/sputtered upon accelerating & sounded like a WRX with exhaust best I can describe it. Then, the SES light came on, flashed, then stayed on & as of Sunday, I found the pushrod (2 pcs) laying above the piston, so I'm lucky it didn't enter the engine. I hope this helps & good luck with the car repair.

plug wires. Your ignition is not lighting off the fuel. Your plug wires are sucking.
