Idea on what to expect for RWHP for my LS1 RX7
Well as some of you already know im in the process of building an LS1 equipped RX7. Ive been helping my friend build his 01 SS camaro for the past summer. Hes just decided he wants to go with a 402 and hes going to give(yes, for free) me his 25,000mile short block complete. What I was wondering is the block already has a 236/236 590/590 112 cam in it. I plan on buying a set of stock unported 243 heads to go along with the stock LS6 intake manifold that he already gave me off the motor...What kinda power should I expect to make through long tubed headers and a true dual exhaust?..I dont plan on spinning the motor past 6500rpms. Also would this setup safely handle a 100 shot? (not sure ill need much more in a 2600lbs car)

With LS6 heads?..also would the 100 shot be safe? And is there anything I should add to the stock internals before putting it in the car?

im pretty sure you'll be fine with even a 150 shot, just make sure you get all the safety switches and a good tune. That thing is gonna fly. There's a body shop around my house called Alex's, and his sons are f-body fanatics. They have three LS1 powered RX7's and all run 10's or better. Alex told me that one wieghs only 1700-1800 lbs. Couldn't imagine being behind the wheel of one, but i would love to.
