Default "old man cam"... tried search.. not working

sorry.. im sure this has been posted 1 million times.. but the search just keeps bringing me to a blank white screen..

anyway i was looking into the "old man cam" offered from thunder racing.. i dont want to lose and street-ability on my DD... just a little extra umpf... i was reading on TR.com that with this cam a tune isn't needed.. i believe its a 214/220... how much power will this make... and is it worth it??..

i already said im never getting a stall..
but my mods include pacesetter LT...tsp catted-y... Ported TB... LS6 intake...s Loudmouth II... Air lid and FTRA are coming very soon...

my real question is with that cam how much will i be putting at the wheels.. and is that cam worth the money with those mods?

Would 15 hp untuned and 25 hp with a good tune make it worth it to you? That would be my quess on the power increase you'd get. With a stock stall, I would not go any bigger.

http://www.thunderracing.com/catalog...id=88&pcid=122

go down and look at the dyno of the old man cam... halfway down. i think itd be a great cam for lite mods. that and look at the 6000+RPM, the oldman cam would be worth the extra hp when your stock runs out of rpm

i bet your like me and dont like to spin your motor to 6500

its not wrth it, thats a tiny *** cam. look into soemthing like the 220/224 or maybe the TR224

they arent big cams, and they offer awesome under the power curve, and can use the stock stall. They amy require some tunning, but id want to tune any car after a cam swap regardless.

I would not knock the Old Man Cam. It has a 215 .600" lift intake lobe. That means it has more area under the curve than most 220 lobes. It's a pissed off little cam that makes excellent power.
