Default Look what I took to the machine shop!

Setup as pictured will be:
  • 6.0 block, std bore
  • JE 28cc 2618 (non silicon) pistons $$$
  • 6.100 Callies Compstar H beam rods
  • Stock crank, micropolished

I told the machinist to just clean the block up, cut the deck, hone the cylinders, align bore the mains, and internal balance everything. Additional details with this setup: ARP main and head studs, GM MLS gaskets, ported 853 heads (flow about 300 w/ strong low and mid range numbers), LS6 intake, 236/238 .623"/.625" 115+4 LSA camshaft, Cadillac Racing lifters, 1.75 Comp Pro Mags, and oh--Precision 80mm turbo using 6.0 manifolds. I plan on putting the heads and everything on so he's just doing the shortblock. Just thought everyone would like to see pics. The block and crank have been sitting with lithium grease all over them to prevent rust so they've picked up a few things.

I came up on the pistons by chance ($1200+ pistons for $600) and the 853's made a better CR range cuz the chambers were slightly smaller. So far I haven't spent that much so the whole goal is to find most of the stuff used.

Yeah I figured iron would hold up better under boost.
