I run Mobil 1 0W30. 0 for minimal resistance to flow at startup (most damaging time for a running engine) and 30 weight for factory spec at operating temp.
and to the guy who wants to increase pressure, you do realize that pressure is only resistance to flow, right? I want my oil to flow. I don't want more oil pressure.

well i was running 30 weight oil before, and was too thin. the 40 weight seems to be good, and like i said mobile 1 is runs thin, so a 40 weight is like a 30. just my opinion.
and i want my engine lubricated, i dont want the oil to just run through the engine.

Do a search for Patman's posts about oil, or bobistheoilguy.com (i think that is the website) is a good place to go to.

there have been TONS of threads about this topic, just search and you will find your answer. M1's 30 weight is at the 'bottom of the barrel' compared to other 30 weight oils. So, instead of running M1 0w30 and being closer to a 20 weight oil, I (and alot of other people) run M1's Euro formula, which is a 0w40 oil and although its a 40 weight, its closer to a better 30 weight oils.

Sounds like I can search and find people talking about it and still not find an answer since no one "works for M1." Why do a wild goose chase when the answer I want doesn't exist? Lots of specualtion and bullshit on the Internet, especially regarding oil. I'm not digging through it. There's no prize inside the muck.

why don't you check out bobistheoilguy.com and check out some of the oil analysis'? Or find another forum or website that does oil analysis reviews. Or you can live in the dark and use the oil that GM tells you to use. It doesn't matter to me much, I was just giving the OP information that he asked for.
