Angry Stupid California

So i live in northern california and my car will be paid off next month so im thinkin about doin h/c, headers, stall, and 90/90 soon after that. My car has to be smogged next year though and if i put all this into my car and have to rip it all off to pass smog im gunna be pissed.

So my question is...is it really worth it to put all this into the car or would it be better to just go with something like a cheatr cam and not worry about emissions? thx

Either move out of cali and come to texas, or get a blower.

That's the way to do it, 1. Get a blower/turbo or 2. Just set you self out knowing that you are going to have to illegally smog your car. I can't tell you how much I kick myself in the ***** every day for trying to go smog legal, I wasted so much money trying to set my car up to be smog legal-- in the end it's just not worth it>>Ask Prerun about my shithole, just get what you want the first time around and find a friend in the smog buisness....

I say F all that and declare your residence out of state. Or have a friend on the title and register the car in his state. Send him some cash for having to wait in line at the DMV. Surely there is a way out.

Actually there are supposedly counties in Cali. that don't require smog... Don't shoot me if I am wrong, I just have a friend with a house in Clear Lake and he told me that vehicles registered there dont have to smog...

**** smog... Ive been having the hardest time trying to find ppl to pass me under the table for the last past 2 months.... its alot harder to find someone than you think! these guys are too scared to even touch my car! and plus, they could lose their shop or be fined major time if they pass someone illegally (and get cuaght). I just think its lame to begin with. If i lose the egr and Air Tubes then california wont let me drive my car?!?!?!.... pisses me off. I could understand if a car was shooting out black smoke and ****, but cmon, relocate the cats and losing the EGR and AIR tubes doesnt cause major damage to the enviroment... **** Cali

I read an article about 2 years ago that AFR heads were legal in Cali. Get some 205's, they made like 29 rwhp on a vette with no other changes. Then you can add headers for more gain and just throw the exhaust manifolds back on when ever you go smog.

ExceSSive is right the AFR 205's do claim to be emission friendly, I am able to pass a TSP 224R 112 with smog.... Not going to but I can...
