Default Yella Terra's with my TR Cam?

I am going to be doing a cam swap soon with a TR 224/224 .563/.563 112, along with springs, titanium retainers, push rods and so forth.

I read somewhere that the Yella Terra 1.7 Rockers are actually 1.72?! Am I going to have any clearance issues with this combo? This is going into a stock heads, 99 TA.

Thanks

You will be fine. We've put them on a TR227/224 cam car will milled heads and it was fine.

Well first of all, the TR224 has a .561 lift not .563; I believe there is an error in one place on their website. Each cam varies from that a little bit (your cam card will tell you what it really is) and you can request one that's on the low side. Second, going from a 1.7 to a 1.72 ratio would only increase it from 0.561 to 0.568. Stock heads that haven't been milled can handle a lot more lift than that.

No problems here so far with my YT's and multiple WOT runs and I'm running the 230/224 cam which actually has a .576 intake lift....

My 5.3L heads are milled .010

Says, Valve Lift With 1.7 Rockers--Intake: .563 / Exhaust: .563 hand written on the box with a 111.8 lobe seporation.

I went ahead and ordered the Yella Terra's. Thanks for the info and hopefully that put everyone on the GP at 10 or over
