Default 383 questions

Hey I am just about done building a 383 ls1, and i was wondering what kind of power i would make with it. It has dart 225 heads ls6 intake 90mm tb 238-242 with 114 at 605 615 lift kooks 1 7/8 headers. It is also a 6 speed car, and im also going to put nos on it. I was just hoping it would make good power n/a. thank u

don't think 90mm tb will fit on a ls6 intake....

I'm building a 383 with that same cam. I havent got my heads yet and I am running a Fast 90. I'm hoping for 480ish rwhp. Not sure thou.

Ya i have heard some people say a 90mm tb will fit and some say that they wont, i guess ill have to go with the fast 90 90 thanks

i think 470-480 with the fast 90/90 should be pretty close. the small bore is what hurts the 383 combos and those darts may not quith put down the power of say an afr 225 or tfs 225. if 93 is available get your scr up there around 11:5 or so and it should be a sweet setup.

I think 490 is possible if you have a good exhaust set-up and a great tune. The LS6 intake on my 383 is strangling it above 6K RPM... My next round of mods will be AFRs and a ported FAST 90/90...

I've tuned a couple 383s to 500. One to 510 with 205cc AFRs.

I was up at MTI like two weeks ago and asked one of the guys the same question im trying to get my 383 rolling as well. He said with good headers and a decent head and cam with ls6 would give you 460ish to the wheels.
