Default POLL, plastic or aluminum version of FMS intake?

Curious on one thing before I post all the info on our soon to be released intake.

All out of plastic or have some sheetmetal versions for our diehard racers and nitrous setups? Which would you like available first?

They fit under the windshield cowl and we will be checking on fitting different hoods,SS hoods have no issues.

Our Project SS solid roller 346 car picked up 20hp with no loss of TQ and raised peak Hp RPM by only 500 RPM. We will have some dyno results on some bigger motors also(yes I know Mikey :p)

Trust me, this one works

What's the price difference between the sheetmetal or plastic? Also, when you say 20HP I assume you mean to the wheels right?

I would go for plastic first, but depending on the price of a sheetmetal you might get me to buy one for a fogger system

The sheetmetal should serve both well, N/a and n2o cars. for my car , a plastic would be preferred. for production first though= sheetmetal. p.s Allan give me a call if you got time . Rearmain troubles (985-507-1337)

I agree with 383ss. Go with whatever is less exspensive for the end user. Both sheetmetal and plastic can be drilled/tapped for N20 nozzles.

Have you flowed this intake on a bench and if so what type of gain in flow did it take over a LS6 to see a 20rwhp gain?

I assume the plastic version would be similiar in material to the stock intake??

Thanks

John

PS - Price it for high volume sales and not high profit sales...Please

I vote for the plastic... Im using NOS Pro Race Fogger System with NOZsels in stead of the regular foggers ...

Plastic would serve me better.

Another question would be how would the sheetmetal intake hurt daily driving? Like say a long trip.

four questions:
1-whats the cost of the intake, will it be a big difference in price between plastic or aluminum ?
2- can we have the option to get bigger size thrutlle bodies like the 90 or 100mm to fit it on the intake?
3-does the intake comes fuel rails or not? or does accept the stock ones?
4-will fit under the factory T/A hood( not WS6 hoods)?

and Allan you Rock
thank

If you need to check clearance for a Firehawk hood, I will graciously volunteer my car

Besides, you can just put it in the same shipment with Ron's.

Plastic if the cost is about the same.
