looks incredible! i think that if it's gonna cost anywhere over $800, then make it the sheetmetal and drilled for the DP nitrous guys, cause those are the ones that are gonna want to spend that to get the very most out of their combo instead of a ls6 manifold. if it's more in the price range of a ls6 manifold, make it for what the larger user base would be. and it seems that most people want it in plastic. gives them a good alternative to the ls6 manifold. people like me who seem to have blown their motors at a very good point of the LS1 development life(all new technologies coming out) will be needing to make the decision in the next few months. Plastic...everyone already asked or said all the other things I was going to say.

 

The 20HP gain was over the LS6 intake at the rear wheels. I will have Jason post one of the graphs.

A stock LS6 intake on our Stage 2 LS6 heads would drop the flow 10-11%,with the sheetmetal the flow loss was 2-3%. The runner shape,taper,and length was developed using the lastest computer technology and tweaked on the flowbench. The plastic version will also be made of the same material as the stock intake and extra thick in the right places for port matching and nitrous fittings.

It uses a LT1 style T\B and will take 52mm,58mm and the monoblade! and Aeromotive fuel rails. When we start selling them,they will be a kit of intake,fuel rails and air lid( to match the angle of the T\B,and some wiring extension's for the IAC and TPS connectors.

As far as pricing,not dead set on that yet,been talking to the plastic molding company on tooling and production. I would like to try to keep the plastic version less than $800.00(but my goal is alot less the that),will have final pricing on the plastic and sheetmetal versions soon.Going through the pat pending process right now,and will have some more detailed pics soon

Will be having some Firebirds and C5's to check fitment issues soon,so I will keep everybody informed.

The decision is to make them out of plastic first and the sheetmetal versions will be in limited #'s at first and by order only.Once I see that the sheetmetal versions are selling good,we will keep a certain amount in stock.

 

This is very very cool. Do you have the flow numbers?? So we might have a cheap intake that can keep up with heads....

Speaking of FI, what will the plastic manifold be rated for (intake pressure)? I'd like to avoid the heat soak from the sheetmetal.

 

so would this intake be compatible w/ the new nxl nitrous kit that is soon to be on the market?

also do you think everyone would need to change cams or run an adjustable timimg chain to run this intake, since the bigger cams have become more popular to the ls1 market?

Did I read that right?? An intake, fuel rails, lid, and some wire extensions for a target price of $800 or less?? Holy $#!+, that's pricing like we all saw on aftermarket intakes for the L98 motors!! Good stuff; I'll definitely be keeping an eye on the developments here...

 

Definitely PLASTIC! Nitrous guys don't need an sheetmetal intake, they can just JET UP to gain the power. NA guys need plastic for sure, heat soak sucks!

If these numbers are reproducable on a mass scale, and they get the price less than $800, I foresee a huge market of used LS6 intakes pretty soon! I just bought mine and would gladly sell it for a 20 RWHP gain!
