Default PRC Stg 2.5 5.3L Heads + Which cam?

I'm looking at some TSP packages and I'm liking the PRC Stg 2.5 5.3L Heads, now I'm debating which cam to get. I want one that will work best with my Yank SS3600 stall. What 1/4 mile times are people making with these heads and cam?(228r, v.3, v.2, ect.)
I care about 1/4 mile times more than dyno numbers so in short I don't care what this set-up will dyno.
As for my car it is just the average bolt on car:
Ported/Polished TB
Headers, Catted Y, GMMG Exhaust
Air Lid
Yank SS3600, shiftkit
Minor Suspension work
Rear w/ 373 coming later and built trans later (whenever they break )
I may go the nitrous route as well, but that is up in the air as of now

My main goal is to have a fun fast car (don't we all) but seriously 11.5 in the 1/4 mile is my main goal. Any other ideas are welcome, I've seen a bunch of cam only cars in the 11's. Before I saw this package I was planning on going with the MTI X1 and stock heads. Again any suggestions will be great! Thanks

I'm pretty much going the same route and am wondering if the 228/228 might have a better under the curve power band as opposed to a torquer v2. Will be running a Yank SS 3600 stall and standard bolt ons. Anbody? Trevor?

That's part of my dilemma as well. I've heard a lot about under the curve power. But the main question is, is the 228r under the curve power better to have than just a Torquer cam?

I have a friend with those heads and a 224R running mid 11's in a 3700lb GTO. I'd recommend a cam like mine and then getting the heads milled to 62 CCs or so to get that compression bump for more torque.

I recently ran an 11.79@115 in mine. See mods in sig.

My heads are not milled....its just something I would do if I had to do it over again.

Whatever you do, good luck !
