I need help! I'm moving on from the Torquer 2 and need advice!
I want to swap my cam out, it's not giving me what I want power wise. I dyno'd 2 weeks ago and the more I read, the more dissatified I become with it. I want something with more power and maybe not so peaky torque. Here's my graph from my pull on a Dynomite dyno.
What would the G5X4 be like in my setup? I have an opportunity to get one for a decent deal. I don't want to flycut at all, but I want something pretty aggressive, i'm basically looking for suggestions and opinions.

with those heads, you are going to have to flycut with the X4. Its a pretty radical cam and it is a top end cam.
Don't forget you are in Utah with a high elevation around 4500 ft. You are going to have less power than people that are close to sea level. If you want to talk about the X4 then hit me up through a PM or hit me up on AIM.

You might fall in love with that cam all over again if you advanced it 4 degrees. The intake valve closing point looks like it's too late to make solid power under the curve. Try it, you should like it.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't the dyno correct for altitude and weather? The cam is fun, when the power comes it hits hard and makes a wild ride. I thought it would make more though, maybe it's just the type of dyno... I never thought of advancing it though, that may make it fun. Would I need a new sprocket to measure that?(sorry i'm a newb at advancing or retarding)
Thanks for the info on the G5x4, that's what I wanted to know.

What LSA/ ICL is your cam on?
Only then you can know how much you can advance. Also advancing will reduce PTV on intake so you have to be careful about that.
Patrick G is correct (as usual), you can pick a lot under the curve by altering the valve events.

I think I still have it but it's in my storage shed.
ls2 bait, your making some damn good power with it, what don't you like about it? I'm assuming you have a ls2 under the hood though...
Does anyone know how much pvc there would be advancing this cam?

We have this cam in a HEAVY LS2 GTO (112+2)
It made 450RWHP and peaked at 6100 and carried it to 6400
It is true its alittle lite on TQ below 3500 but in our application it started to make over 350RWTQ at 3600 rpm....
I would think a 2 degree adv. would help alot..
The cam is a solid performer,we went 11.64@119 in a 3900lb GTO
It loves the Fast intake too
