Default Yella Terra installed

Just put my new 1.7 ratio YT rockers on last night (Thanks Mark @ Ragingmotorsports for that kickass GP). They are a VERY nice looking piece of hardware...thats for sure

Was able to maintain the 7.350 pushrod and it required no shims which netted me ~1/2 turn of preload on the lifters.

Valvetrain is pretty quiet (it wasn't too loud before them either). Obviously a less than 10 HP gain usually don't gain any SOTP so I can't tell but it does seem to rev smoother

Very nice Fireball! I actually enjoy installing them now, just good insurance for everyone I think.

Joe.

I thought they were very easy to install too.I kept my 7.350 pushrods with no shims and 3/4 -1 turn preload

I HAVE THE 7.5 Pushrods, as i have 100/1000th longer valves, had to do minor clearnacing on inside of valve cover, bot too major, and run 125/1000 shims. this is for the 421 iron block were doing. joe

FireBall - Shouldn't you have had 3/4-1+ turns of preload instead of 1/2. Seems a bit low to me and could cause some valvetrain noise. There is a current thread where this is being debated as we speak.

Nassau Joe - Just so you know 100/1000th=.100" and 125/1000=.125" just thought it would make it easier to type thats all.

different schools of thought on preload. 1/2 is what I usually ran anyhow and it seems to work for me. My valves are pretty quiet anyhow, maybe because I'm running crane lifters in mine
