I use to buy at NAPA back in the day, but now everyone like Autozone and O'rielly seems to carry it. Choco Taco has a nice write up on this board about its use. Pretty much just suck it through the brake line and use about 1/3 to 1/2 the can. Shut the car off and wait 10 minutes then go out for a spirited drive. Just drive on a secluded road because you will be leaving one hell of a smoke screen behind you.

If anyone is wondering about how much smoke will really come out, just search seafoam on youtube! Some of the videos are funny! I've heard great things about this stuff..

I have used it on a few cars with good success.. noticable improvement on idle and drivablity.
I was also reading that the Chevron produce have shown good result in their cleaner and performance additive (Techron Concentrated Plus and PurEscape)
http://www.corvettefever.com/techart...gas/index.html
I might try it on some of my older cars to see if it does anything.

On the older cars, pre-emission. My shop teacher showed us how to use a spray bottle filled with Tranny fluid....
Hold the throttle at about 1/4 open, hold the bottle at about 90* angle from the carb, spray across the Venturies a couple of times. Make sure it is a mist not a full stream. after doing that a couple times let the throttle back down to normal and spray a couple more times and the ingine will shut off. let sit for an hour or so, and start her back up.
It always worked great on all my old cars. But I finally got lazy and would just poor a steady stream of trans fluid in my card, and try and keep the motor running. It would put out some crazy white smoke clouds. but it worked awesome.

I personally have never changed plugs or a fuel filter after using it. I would only change those items if they need it. If you are running copper plugs like tr 55 you should be changing them every 15k to 20k. Fuel filters I change every 50k or so miles. I have only used Seafoam as a topend cleaner being sucked down the booster hose.

I change mine out once a year, and the plugs will be changing about everyother month from now on.
