Default Reusing old parts in rebuild

Can most parts be reused on a motor rebuild?

I'm considering reusing the following parts in a forged bottom end 12psi supercharged motor. These parts are from an LS1 with 30Kmi. Is there any reason to replace any of the following?

I'd replace timing chain and gears if you are still using the stock setup. Stock setup has some slack in it. I'd also replace flywheel bolts, can never be too safe!

As long as the engine is out of the car, definately put in poly engine mounts!

    Thanks!

I didn't know stock timing gear and chain has slack. I wonder why some people think it's necessary to replace the stock setup with double-rollers.

Are the flywheel bolts torque to yield also?

Stock chain has a lot of slop. I would go with the heavy duty rollmaster single row chain. Easier to install (no oil pump clearence or asp pulley problems. I assume you are doing new springs. Pushrods should be replaced if they are still stock. Everything else can be reused.

    No, they're not TTY bolts.

OK, I'll search for single-roller chain setup. If flywheel bolts are not TTY, then I'll reuse those.

The heads are from A&A, and have dual springs. What's wrong with stock pushrods? I am reusing the roller lifters and the plastic guides.

Timing chain and gears - stock is weak, Rollmaster makes an excellent double roller

pushrods - they are weak easy to bend. They also flex more than stiff pushrods. Flexing pushrods don't help control the valve train.

You guys convinced me. I bought Manley pushrods, ARP 12-pt head studs and ARP main studs, and rollmaster double-roller.

What's wrong with stock engine mounts? Is there something specific to F-body mounts, or are C5 engine mounts the same?

Stock f-car motor mounts are pretty soft. No idea with C5.
