Default adjusting rockers on stock ls1

I searched other threads, but didnt find anyone who was adjusting their rockers on a stock motor. My valvetrain has become noisy and i want to attempt to adjust the rockers before I spend money. Could someone help me out or just direct me to a thread that deals with a stock ls1. I got a 98 WS6.

also, are the stock lifters solid or hydraulic? and what kind of rockers are they.

Thanks

probably pushrods or lifters then... you don't adjust them..

take off your valve cover your probably going to see a rocker lose moving around or a broken spring.. usually thats what happens or you downshifted wrong and bent some push rods it ticks doing that too

The rockers are torqued to 22 ft lbs. They are none adjustable and valve lash is set with the proper pushrod length and lifter preload, (they are hydraulic). If the valve train developes a tick it is normally caused by a mechanical over rev on an M6. That can bend a stock push rod and cause a tick.

Stock rockers are also known for losing bearings, inspect each rocker at the pivot point carefully.

Pushrods are easy, lifters require the heads to be removed...
