Exclamation Cars pushing 450RWHP......

OK, this is for guys that are in the 400's rear wheel horsepower N/A and pushing spray or forced induction to around 550RWHP.

My questions to you is:

1: are you running stock bottom block? ...and what is the max the bottom block can handle?

2: your RWHP?

3: RWHP on spray or SC/Turbo?

Reason being, is because I have a stock bottom end shooting 100 shot with 509RWHP. and I wanted to pump it up to 150 shot. Giving it anywhere from 559 to 565 RWHP. Is this pushing it, or will it handle it?

Sponsors feel free to chime in!

It will take it only for so long on spray due to the crazy high TQ spike that comes with nitrous. A 500HP NA motor will last way longer than a 500HP 150 shot motor.

RPM comes into play also since a lot of the 500HP NA cars are spinning up high which on a stock bottom end is way more likely to turn a bearing.

I have 90,000 miles on my stock bottom end. I make 430HP N/A and 608hp on spray. I have friends that have made over 500hp on spray for 60,000 plus miles. It all depends on how well the engine is built and the up keep. I went with Katech rods built. I have a auto it shifts at 6500 and red line is 6900.

I completely agree.

You will get one out of one thousand guys who say they have seen the motor live @ 550 rwhp but its not the norm. Dont expect for it last 100k miles.

There is no guage to measure. As long as it is tuned properly it will handle it fine.

i make my numbers in sig N/A (mustang dyno for u # lovers), and ive sprayed a 100 shot a few times.. Ive got a stock bottom end..I run a progressive controller which will hopefully give me a little longer without breaking parts. You need a good tune, and run the right spark plug

I think you'll be fine as long as you have a good tune and don't abuse the spray

so 550RWHP on stock bottom end is achievable and safe as long as the tune is good?

I have seen 650HP from a stock bottom end with F1 applications. And I have seen those motors live for a long time. No not 100000 miles but lets face it, if us spending the money to get 650HP, it will not be your only car. Well, shouldnt be at least.

Personaly I have 507RWHP with a stock bottom end and H/C/I spinning it to 7000 all the time. Knock on wood, no problems thus far. Bottom end has 67,000 miles on it.

My car is currently in the 450ish RWHP range on motor. I just ordered HP Tuners this mon, and am finally gonna be able to dial in my N2O so I can spray it like I want. I'm gonna try to limit it to the 600 RWHP mark, but if it takes a little more to hit my goal, I'll push it a bit harder every now and then.

So far, it's lived for almost 2 yrs and around 10-12k with the shift-lite set to 6700, and shifts occurring between 6800-6900. I've sprayed a 100 shot enough times to go through about 2-3 bottles, and also thrown in there would be a "theoretical" 125 shot

The car still runs HARD, and contrary to what one would think, feels faster to me now then it did when I first got the combo together but I'm not complaining!

That is because nitrous cleans up the carbon and plugs real nice.
That is mainly why I use mine
