Default stripped some upper rocker threads

Good day people,

I would like you to advise me if it's ok to bolt on 3 first stripped rocker threads on one valve. When I bolt it down it sits tight with no problems.

should I be worried?

Shouldn't be a problem if it can be torqued to specs...

I think I would heli-coil them. I would want about 2 diameters of thread to get good strength. How many turns of thread engagement do you have. The problem is if they let go you can do a lot of damage so you will be taking on some risk just using them as is.

the rule of thumb is 1 1/2 times the diameter of the bolt. ie 1/2" bolt you want 3/4" of thread engagement.

I tend to go more than that in bare aluminum. 5 threads is 4mm.
