Default TSP 228R installed!

ok lemme be the first to say...2 1/2 hour install time..thats gotta be some kind of record lol..but anyways, This thing idles like a freakin 200/210 cam lol it's puny sounding..specs are 228/228 .588"/.588" 112 in my A4 i thought it would idle like crap...but it idles WAY better than the hot cam and my 224/230 cam...this is great...gunna go take it out for some top speed runs tomorrow and then the dyno this weekend i hope...very smooth idle with this cam though..bairly any lope (not really..just alot smoother than the 224/230 cam i just swapped out) Anyways im pleased so far...now for the real tests

Ok Just got back from a few full throttle blast's from 25-130..dont get traction untill about 70 lol...This cam rock's the house for real..I love it..The seat of the pants meter is at a full 10! The thing that is also cool is that the idle got real bad now lol so it lopes like crazy and sounds wicked..deffinatly need tuning lol..from a 30 mph roll..pull my foot off the gas and the bitch stalls out..in park idleing..it's PERFECT though..anyway's this thing makes my 224/230 cam feel like a stocker lol im debating if i should throw that cam in the freakin garbage (j/k!)I love the 224/230 on the spray hehe...TSP kicks a$$

I went from the 218/224 CC to the MTI X1 230/227...and um. yeah similar results...1st time I fired her up I had to change shorts.

Congrats on the new cam....now check the rockers for proper torque one last time and get that thing to a track!!

I was gonna say, my car gets downright choppy at idle with the A/C on ...same cam. After 3 cams, I have to say I think I found the one I have been looking for. Seems lately, the crappier it drives the more I like it LOL.

Ok nevermind took the car out today for a full on thrashing session...car feel's slower! I guess it was just me being excited about a new cam or something..but this thing dog's like a biotch now...gunna dyno it soon to confirm my hunch or not...then gunna run it at the track for the final conclusions...also feels like im getting some valve float around 6000 on up to 6600 rpm...**** i knew this would happen lol..we'll see what happenes i guess.

I wouldnt go pounding on the car too much without an LS1edit session on the dyno with wideband. Cams typically respond really well to tuning especially timing/AF changes.

Chris,
I understand I need tuning big time...havent had my car tuned since the hot cam..and since then i have added TEA Stage 2's and the 228/228 now...guess it is time for an edit session although my last dyno with the 224/230 cam i was running 30 degree's timing and 0 KR at 6600 and 12.9:1 A/F...norris said there would be no power in tuning wich i agree with because of the fact that the A/F is fine and 30 degree's timing aint too shabby with no KR...although i do have the old *** edd wright program wich disables the knock sensors..wouldnt have any effect on power i guess but who knows...Anyway's I will post an update when i have it dynoed and run it..Thank's,

Carter
