Default car wont rev.

was running fine. took off water pump because it started to leak while I was right there went ahead and changed the oil pump and the timing chain. car starts right up but seems like when it hits about 1/4 throttle it boggs. and then every other time it seems to go to at least half throttle or better and then bog. .
i unplugged (one at a time) the maf the tps and whatever the other sensor on the throttle body is and it does the same thing.

any ideas?

Do you still have the stock fuel pump?

If you have changed it I bet I know whats wrong with it. If it's stock, go ahead and put a gauge on the fuel rail and check the pressure.

Timing chain off a tooth? My first thought.

very unlikely on the timing chain ... it would still rev fine, now maybe until catastrophic failure

I had a Gen I jump time back in the 80's and that is exactly how it ran. It would want to keep running after you turned the key off too so maybe that is a clue.

Always nice when the miraculous mechanic shows up at night when you are in bed.
