Default anyone knows why this noise happens?

it sounds like if its by the flywheel or behind the stall, i checked all the bolts on the flywheel and they where good and it was not bent either, canit be that the stall went out? cuz it sounds like the noise comes from behind the stall

Sorry to say, but that sounds pretty bad. Are you sure it aint the motor? Maybe drain the oil and check the filter for metal.

Flexplate hitting the dust shield or torque converter possibly. I've heard some wicked sounds from the flexplate hitting the dust shield did you recently pull it out?

What flywheel and what bolts? we had a bad knock noise on 1 where the guy used a stock flywheel and arp bolts and the bolts bottomed out on the crank before tightening the flywheel all the way. it held it snug but not tight enough. we put some hardened washers on it and bam no problem.

just an idea... i can't hit youtube at work its blocked

Pull the plugs and turn it over by hand from the crank bolt. Might have a better chance to isolate the noise.

it dont move at all. it turns on and then shuts down right after, the only way to keep the engine running is by keeping the RPMs up and over like 2k

so you saying you thing the noise is in the transmission but it makes the car not run after just a few seconds?

i believe your either going to have multiple issues like a tranny noise and a drivetrain/ running issue, or its a noise coming from your motor/ problem running in your motor

edit:
actually in the 2nd video the noise gets alot louder when your up near the tire, closer to the engine.

sorry bro
hate to be the bearier of possibly bad news

oh and on a side note unless youve swapped trannies befor which u didnt mention, no 4th gens came with a 700r4

they came with 4l60 or 4l60e's

I guess I'm kind of an old school motorhead, I think the LT is a hell of a tough engine. I like the performance of the LS but I just don't know what to think on how strong they are. I have two LS cars and now engine failures as of yet but DAMN! I hear and read alot of **** on here about people blowing up the LS1.
