I am actually doing mine now, I just jerked on the wiring harness and broke the connector since I had all new stuff anyway and I believe in a 1" socket for the sensor its

yhea i broke the top of the sensors too when i was taking em out, those little orange things... that was so effin annoying, idk how anyones fingers are small enough to do that the right way... So a 1' socket is the way to go? I didnt even see that you could use a socket I was more concerned about getting things off before it became too dark to work.

Take a pair of needle nose plyers and squeeze the conection remove the wire, then use a socket to unscrew the knock sensor.

Those wire connectors are oval. Pinch them long-ways with needle-nose as mentioned above and they'll pull right off without any damage. Practice on the new ones before installing them. Good luck with it, Thomas!

+1 on that If you have a electrical connection on your car that just pulls apart... there's something wrong with that plug. All conections have a clip, spring type"fuel injectors" squeeze type"knock sensors" ECT. just dont go grabing wires and pulling.
