Default G5-X2 over MTI X1 Camshaft

Anyone dyno Lou's G5X2 over MTI's X1?? What was the difference?? Wondering if its worth it?

Also, Can I just replace the G5X2 with the Ti Retainer and Pushrods MTI gave me with the X1? Not sure what type brand they are but whats the most common they put in their cars? LG told me some good springs will do and Im sure MTI installed Doubles.

Thanks in advance

The G5X-2 is an excellent cam that has shown more power than an X1. The G5X-2 has over .600 lift so you need double springs cabable of that high of a lift.

The G5X2 cam is the only cam I'd replace my X1 with....other than that I wouldn't do it though unless I got an awsome deal on the G5X2 cause the X1 is such an awsome cam and the idle quality is great!! It's a great sleeper cam cause it idles so much like a smaller cam.

You could'nt hide the G5X2 if you tried.

yeah good luck and lemme know how it turns out..a G5X2 might be replacing my X1 pretty soon...that or the R1 from MTI will be....I've got the big time dual rev springs so I can throw any cam I want at her..I'm just curious as to any gains...any signifigant gains..

If you have a set of MTI heads, you have dual valve springs. If you did just a cam change then you most likely have single springs.

I did both. Your right they should have duals.
