Default head and cam

im looking at heads and cams for my car..i want a car that is going to be great on the street and do decent on the track..i wouldnt go to the track very often..im looking at making 450 hp

im looking at the tr 230/224 cam..seems to be a good street cam
and afr 205 cc heads

tell me what u think of this setup

or course im getting all the supporting mods to go with it too.. kooks headers, fast intake setup, injectors

ne one else with this setup, or ne one chime in and tell me what u think if my power goal is feasible with this setup..and if its a good head and cam match up

get the heads milled down the most you can depending on lift and duration of the cam....to get compression up and it should make killer power across the board.

i don't think 450 should be hard to reach assuming an m6.

Agreed, on an M6 car those HP goals are very attainable! For great driveability and nice power under the curve I'd consider the PRC 5.3L heads with the TSP TorquerV3 camshaft. With the right combo and supporting bolt-ons, people are seeing about 450h/400tq from this combo! The 5.3L heads are a nice addition because they give you that free bump in compression over stock, which makes for better power all the way from idle to redline!

Let us know if we can help with your combo!

YA, take a look at the Trick flow heads and have a cam custom grind to match the heads you are buying.. I've went 11.30 at 120mph with a 1.54 60ft so far. I will be in the 10's before the year is over with this same setup and I have the trick flow heads. Goodluck in your search.

The afr heads are top notch.

if you have the money, go for it.

they are VERY proven!!!

with the smaller runner you'll make great power down low which is what you want for the street.
but with a chamber in the mid 60's....you'll want to mill them down as stated.
