Default FAST LSX-RT intake questions

I have an engine with PRC 237 cylinder heads and a FAST LSX-RT intake. Anyway I need your guys opinion whether this is right or not. When I look down the injector hole in the intake I can see part of the cylinder head. The cylinder head actually is shrouding the hole.

Needs an angle mill it looks like so the intake will sit lower. You can open up the area right around the injector hole if necessary, but if its that far off, the actual ports are probably off by the same amount which is no good.

Here is the same picture on a 150K miles stock long-block (Iphone pic). This is very common and not a problem at all.

Nope, our ports are in the same location as stock.

Just checked it with 2 more brand new intakes to make sure it wasn't a one time problem with the intake, same thing on all. Checked it with a stock LS2 intake, different because of the smaller size of the hole but still there.

I'm worried about where the injector mounts so high in the intake that the cylinder head is going to be affecting the spray pattern.

Any of the FAST intakes will be this way. You could go LS6, LS2, BBK, etc but it would cost you significant power.

It's the same exact layout that everyone running this intake has....FAST ASSumed there was a problem without looking into the issue instead of researching it for you. Install and let her eat.

Do teh truck heads have larger chambers then the car heads? I think its an intake issue, not a head issue just to clarify that. My ls7 102 sits dead nuts straight on your heads.

Larger chambers, yes...larger runners, no. They are virtually identical (very small difference, much less than seen here).

not the only one as i have one too but this is ls1tech so mostly cars and they use the car intake, not the truck intake.

on performancetrucks you would have more folks with trucks and truck intakes.

i didnt check mine but only issue is idlling issue which seems to be common with these fast truck intakes. other than that, power is very good.

From what I'm understanding all the FAST intakes, car and truck, are like this???

The base of the LSXR and the LSXRT are exactly the same/interchangable.

Ive seen it before, and it didnt affect anything. Most injectors are a pencil style and much less of a "plume" as most assume. 1000s of these out there.

Install.....enjoy power

So you're positive I'm not going to run into any issues with this running 20+ psi and trying to make 1000rwhp?

Without a problem....Intake can take up to 67psi, so unless you have an LS diesel, your in good shape. Here are some articles both over 20psi, both over 1000hp....
